Hello everyone,
I was "shel" on IAWP and am happy to see others here from that site. Epiphany, thank you so much for creating this - I am so impressed with how quickly you put this all together; you are amazing! I will copy my journal from IAWP when I get a chance. I copied my sig. from IAWP but is there a formal way on this site to enter a sig?
Michele
2006 Rx'd Cymbalta for approx 1 yr. WD after 4 mos - didn't realize was WD,took Zoloft and Klonopin; tapered K. Spring 2012 experienced major WD symptoms while tapering Zoloft; tried to updose but no relief, back on K 1 mg. Switched over 5-6 mos from Zoloft to Citalopram. Finished Zoloft 1/13; now on Citalopram 35 mg and 1 mg Klonopin. Started to experience withdrawal symptoms from switch (?) approx. 3 months after finished Zoloft (4/13). Now at 35 mg and hoping to start slow taper

Instead of copying my whole journal I thought I'd copy some of my intro from IAWP with some changes added: I was originally prescribed ADs for situational depression/anxiety brought on by stress. I had been trying to slowly taper Zoloft (first tried a 10% taper, then 5%) for several years only to get hit with major withdrawal issues - usually related to a stressful circumstance - and have to updose. Last year updosing didn't seem to help so out of desperation I switched from Zoloft to Celexa (and added 1 mg Klonopin which I had successfully tapered off of a few years prior). I have now been on Celexa since January (and still on 1 mg Klonopin), upped the dose 2.5 months ago to 35 mg. At the increased dose, am experiencing constant headache. I have been trying to stabilize on Celexa and have a few days here and there feeling fairly normal but aside from the headache have also been having quite a bit of depression/anhedonia/suicidal thoughts. I also have had an aversion to food and am finding it really hard to eat much - have lost quite a bit of weight. Some nausea in there too but so far has been mild and transitory. I was trying to wait this out to see if my brain would adjust to the Celexa but there hasn't been much change so I am going to attempt a very slow taper down. I am scared about this process since I am already feeling fairly unstable as it is but don't think I have much choice except to try the taper at this point. Also have a lot of fear because my last slow tapers were unsuccessful and I am stuck on a benzo. too. The good news is that I reduced to 34 mg almost 1 week ago and no major changes to report. Going at this rate, I'll probably be 80 and still posting on this journal!

LOL, you will be healed by age 80! A slow taper is a good taper, Michele. I hope things get better, I had trouble with quite a bit of the same in early W/D.

No problem, Michele. In my own experience, healing is a slow process.
